2-1 undertail exhaust
Anyone else think this would look super awesome on the Hyper? Like the 2-1 Termi, but routed under the tail instead of hanging off the side in harms way in the event of a tip over. I still don't understand the whole 2-1-2 thing anyway. Why not save some weight by having only 1 silencer.
Who wants to make it? I'll buy it.

I'd buy one too.
It would be kind of like the CBR600rr. Less weight, 2-1 power gains, and out of the way. Personally, I like the look of the undertail exhaust as I think it's quintecential to the Ducati line.
As much as I think the loss in wieght is far better than any performance differences between the 2-1 and the 2-1-2, I will be installing a 2-1-2 for the Ducati look.

You ask, you get
Credit to Lejo, from the French HM board, who now owns the Hyper with the 2010 Corse paint theme (I put some pictures couple weeks ago in the picture thread)

Nice!
Really, how hard would it be for a company that already makes an undertail 2 canister slip-on to make a single canister one?? They could use any of the cans as long as they are not too....ummm...long.
Hell, even Yosh or TBR could do it easily enough, not that I would jump to buy those brands.....

I think it's a good bit of custom modding, and I like the concept, but it aint getting my juices flowing...
Maybe it's the fact that it just looks so damn bulky and shiny that's putting me off...
Maybe some black ceramic coating on the pipe and a carbon can may improve it's gastly look.
dunno...

i think its a neat idea. its gonna be hard to get the flow as smooth as possible due to the tank and clearance needed not to vaporize fuel and even worse melt a hole in the tank. but neat still.

I think it looks the shit when directly behind it. I agree with Tard about the powder coating though it would look better.

So we're in agreement then.
Ok, who's going to make it?
Or, who's going to teach me to weld?
