Cheap shiny clutch bits

Anyone have any experience with these guys?

Machined aluminum is machined aluminum, no? Sure beats paying 200 or more for just the pressure plate.

these parts are from china ... and machined aluminum is not always the same quality. you also have to be concerned about dimensional accuracy of the part.

i would HATE to "save" a few bucks (ok, $180 in today's economy is not a few), then have a side case priced at over $600 fail, due to the clutch pressure plate doing a murder/suicide.

i'm not saying ... i'm just saying

I'm a machinist and have a good understanding of the products produced by the Chinese. the things to look out for are the springs, the stainless screws, the anodizing and the bearing. the springs and screws will more than likely be a poor grade (dirty) and will rust or have poor spring qualities. the anodize may be thin and not offer a good life that is hit and miss among the Chinese products. don't even think about using that without replacing the bearing.

dude I bought a pressure plate from that guy, it is great! I was concerned about it before buying it but I decided to give it a try. I have no regrets they're good pressure plates. I also bought the clutch cover too it looks nice. Email him and asked for a special that you want to get the cover and the pressure plate.

Sorry about this, but....

Yabo, why did you leave the gasket under the clutch cover when you put the open one on?? Does it deaden the sound??

Get rid of it, it will look cleaner.

Dave

"Aircraft Grade" means 7075, but who the hell really knows, I doubt you can get it out of him. But CNC is CNC, so I would see no reason to be worried about it. Not like we're talking medical devices here. And IIRC the stocker is cast, so any level of CNC will have more dimensional accuracy.

Looks good but I kind of have an issue with blatant Speedymoto design ripoffs.

Have to agree with Joshuaz2! Being a toolmaker and having a similar background, there is more to machined parts than meets the eye. I stay away from Chinese products when it comes to safety or the need for high quality in materials or workmanship. Buyer beware!
