if im on the highway my light comes on at about a 100 miles and so far i went another 31 miles..if im on the gas bursting round town or in the twisties it varies usually 85 to 93 till light comes on but when i go to fill after light comes on it generally has a half gallon or more left.

Seriously though...
Read your manual... it will tell you you have 3/4 of a gallon (3L for us metric folk), approximately, left when low fuel light begins to shine.
Then, by judging your mpg, or km/L, which you should know, work it out!
There are so many variables concerning fuel economy especially reserve mileage' you will get many conflicting answers to the 'average' you seek.
Do your own homework, with your bike... There are too many variables, you will need to do your own research concerning this scenario.

Yeah let us Know...
Next time it comes on ,just find 2 gas stations about 1/2 mile apart then keep going back and forth then the worst you can do is push for 1/4 mile....

Put in model/year on this page and you can download the PDF version of the owners manual.

My used hyper did but... 'ctarna'
He's given us all access to the basics, God love him for it...

You'll still need to get you shit together and learn your bike from an 'owners point of understanding'.

It supposed to last 30 miles but of course it depends on how you are riding. I was chasing my son down river road, he was on the hyper and I was on an S3 and he ran out of fuel, it said 20 on the trip, of course we were hammering it pretty hard. So its 20 miles if you are hard on it!
