GOOD Dealer called today (after 4 weeks) and said head gasket
replaced, running well
BAD While test riding my Hyper a woman pulled out in front of the

BAD Here we go waiting for parts again

That sounds like bad news all around. That's essentially a brand new bike, crashed by the dealer. Taking care of the cosmetic stuff is easy. Make sure they/you inspect the frame/engine cases at the upper engine mount for cracks. Check your fork alignment and make sure that your fork tubes and brake rotors aren't bent. Also check your fork/steering stops for damage. Better yet, tell the dealer to give you a new bike, they can fix the one they crashed and sell it.

I must concur with dukepilot. The whole situation is crap. First you get a defective bike and then they crash it for you. Man, what a horrible experience. Personally, I wouldn't want the bike back. Hope it all works out for you.

Yeah...10-4 on that. I wouldn't want that bike back! Make them give you a new Multistrada straight up for your troubles!

No way I'd take a crashed bike. They have insurance that will pay for the bike. I can't believe they'd even suggest that you take that bike back. Get a new bike and find a new dealer.

That sucks bro. I hope they sort it out properly and give you a new bike like you deserve. I'd call an adjuster have them inspect the bike as an outside source, scuffing on the frame usually results in a total loss which would get you a new bike.

That sucks man.
When bikes fall over in the garage you will get some cosmetic damage.
When bikes hit cars or have street crashes there will be a hell of a lot more damage than cosmetic usually.
I'd get down to the dealer immediately and see for yourself the full extent of the damage, because I can almost guarantee it's worse than they're making it sound. Hope for your sake it's not.
I would not want that bike back.
There's something about crashed bikes that even after full repair they're not the same.
I'd never trust a crashed bike.
Plus for resale value, when a potential buyer asks you, 'has it ever been crashed', what will you say?
It will drastically affect it's resale value now.
I'd never buy a crashed bike.
Hope you can get a full replacement bike out of them anything less is not good enough.

100% strike rate, Mr Mike don't even think of taking it back, you have paid for a brand new 2010 bike not a second-hand crashed by someone else bike, not you fault so don't make it your problem.

I agree with everyone above...they have insurance for that. You should be given a brand new bike.

Dealers have to pay hefty premiums for their insurance for just this reason. They are covered, whether it was the Tech's fault or the other driver's fault.
If they are not willing to replace your bike, it's because they do not want to make a claim against their insurance. This would be the time to get the DMV involved as they govern dealerships in practices and policies. If you mention the letters "DMV" they will probably start playing ball as they could get their dealer's license suspended or revoked.
Hold firm on the new bike. You have already won that case.
Good luck,
Dave
