Moto GP Laguna- Who's going
I booked my hotel last night. Each year I drive up Friday and do the tourist stuff with the family on Friday and Sat.. Then have Sunday all day at the track to myself ... I bring my bike up so if any one wants to hook up Sunday at the track or for breakfast then ride to the track let me know.

I'm not a big fan of the facilities or the (lack of) track view. I went the first year, sat at the corkscrew, watched the bikes go by, waited 1:30 then rinse & repeat. I had an awesome time because it was the first GP in years but haven't been back since.
Miller for WSBK is a much better race experience.

I will be there. To not support MotoGP racing here in the US whenever possible is blasphemous! If we don't support our sport, it will go elsewhere.
The hillside above turn 2 is the best place to watch the racing in my humble opinion. The corkscrew is nice for watching a few laps during practice.
See you there just like last year.

Come on Mike...Laguna is classic... Miller is a bit more modern but Laguna is world class freaky deaky with the hillsides and stuff. You need to walk all around Laguna not just be in one place.
Secondly seeing the B team (WSBK) as good as they are as compared to seeing one off, unobtanium rode by the likes of Rossi Pedroso, Lorenzo now Spies is even worth comparing. I walk the track most the day from differrent vantage points... since I only go one day I check out the vendors and all the new bikes and practice sessions before the racing and have just a kick ass full day of motorcycles.

Laguna is a bit far for me but I am going to the Indy GP race. It will be my first time going to a GP race and I can't wait! Already have everything taken care of and expecting Stoner and Hayden to put the smack down on everyone else so It should be good.

I'm gonna miss Laguna this year. I went last year and made a week of it by riding all over the place, Alice's, Carmel Valley, Big Sur.....we had a blast.
I promised the wife a vacation this year and we might hit a Dealer Show or two with the shop.
BUT!!!, I promised some friends of mine that next year I would show them the Cali-way and do the whole 10 day experience all over again with them in tow.
Just have to wait until then.......

After missing Laguna last year for the first time since the 80's , I'll be back with a vengeance this year, along with my wife and our 1-year-old twins! So no, we won't be riding bikes, but look for a couple of tattooed, Ducati-gear-wearing race fans pushing an orange side-by-side baby jogger...

I learned my lesson, the little ones are too much work at the track, can't imagine twins and only 1 year old!!! Its just to hard to tend them and do what I want without someone needing my attention. We make a mini vacation for 3 days and I do 2 of those days with the little one and wife.. do the aquarium, a lot of time at the beach, boat ride then I'm gone race day while they whale watch. Very nice and everyone stays happy.

I'm there every year, all three days. Got 4-5 buddies coming along as well. We stay in Salinas because it's a bit cheaper and just as close to the track as Monterey.

Yeah, it's an ambitious plan for sure! But my wife and I are both track rats, and we figure the kids might as well get used to it early.
In their first 9 months, we've already taken them to a CCS race, a couple of track days, and a motocross race, as well as several U of A basketball games, and they really do pretty well with all the commotion and noise.
It also helps that we have Flagroom tickets, so we have a nice "home base" to go to throughout the weekend. As long as there's not another heat wave like the one in '07, we'll be good to go!
