My comfort seat lower than normal?
I got the comfort seat when I purchased the bike. I knew that it was supposed to be 20mm lower than stock, but I think mine may be much lower. I felt that my legs were a lot more cramped that I wanted and switched it back out for the stocker after the first ride. I looked in the catalog and I also got a chance to see another Hyper with a comfort seat. Mine seems to have more of a "sway-back" than the normal CS.
At one time did Ducati have an actual "Low" seat out for the Hyper? I am 130lbs wet so I'm pretty sure I didn't break it down after one ride??

Pull the seat off if you haven't already. There is supposed to be two rubber buffers mounted on the strap that goes over the tank. This is where the center of the seat is supported.I don't know why they would be missing, but if they are it would cause your symptoms.

My confort seat was way too low for me and I'm 6ft 2". Ended up switching to the DP seat and it is great even for 500klms rides in the twisties.

Everything is still there so I have no idea. Even off the bike it has a more sway in it than the normal CS.

My dealer said he would swap it out for the DP seat so I will give that a try.

I got the confort seat not too long ago and to be honest althought it fits the purpose I didn't like the riding position, it is less agressive, the original seat puts you much more to the front and over the bars..... maybe the DP seat would be a good compromise....

I bought a cheap DP confort seat few weeks ago.
And I just received a 2010 DP racing seat couple days ago.
Sadly, there's no compromise in the DP seats. The confort one offer a great comfort for long rides, the racing one offer a very nice seating position but a crappy confort level (at least on my butt)
If you are looking for compromise and have the big money, take a DP racing seat and get some gel insert added by a pro, you will keep the seating position and add a little bit of confort.

Ride a real supermoto for any period of time and then all other seats will seem comfortable.
The 4" hard ass seat on my Hussy is the bees knees for about 30 mins and then I have to endure the 'moto wedgy' for the rest of my time in the saddle.
Seriously though... it's all to do with 'width' and 'shape', not height.
If your comfort seat seems too low, it's because it's just had some foam shaved out of it, yet width the has changed little.
The DP seat has the same height as the standard 'Noahs Ark' seat, but it's thinner, and better shaped.
It's not soft, but it seems perfect for spirited riding and offers reasonable comfort because it widens perfectly as you move rearward.
It's shape allows for performance orientated movement, comfort, and extra reach to the turf, because it has a reduced width... where it needs to be
I adore my DP seat.
