Fat Duc

Ordered my Fat Duc thingy http://www.fatduc.com/the other day to smooth things out a bit.I'm not interested in any big performance gains.I just want to make my daily rider more civilized.Where have you guys tucked away the extra wiring? It doesn't look like there is going to be much of an option, other than a couple of zip ties around the frame.

That's good advice. Mount it so you can tweak it during a test ride. I.E., ride
for a while with your initial setting, pull over, try an eighth-turn richer, test ride
it for some distance to evaluate better or worse throttle response/feel/decel popping,
then try another tweak if necessary, etc.

I brought along a small screwdriver on the first test ride with this device and made
several re-adjustments to get it where I wanted (this was Nov. 2008!). Worked
very well. Note that if you go to the richest extreme you may start seeing Lambda
sensor errors occasionally appear on the Hyper dash gauge. Overly rich settings
may run smoother, but also soften the "hit" when you whack the throttle open.

So don't overdo it and you will find the bike runs better without lean condition
issues such as: stalling at idle, surging at part throttle, popping thru the
exhaust on deceleration, and higher engine temps.
