Fork Cartridge Kit Install

I did a search but nothing about the actual install process. Anyone install their own cartridge kit? Any suggestions about the installation process?

I just had the Ohlins cartridge kit put in. They were very specific that a trained Ohlins tech install them. They charged me 2 hours labor, with the forks off the bike. I trust the tech, he told me it was not something that would have been easy to do, without the speciality tools.

Thanks, that's very helpful. I'll make an appointment to have them installed.

Will the Ohlins kit fit the S forks? Also, how much does the cartridge kit cost?

I think the 'S' forks and 'non-S' forks are the same. Minor difference in exterior anodizing and the 'S' forks have a black nitrate coat but internals are the same.

About 1450 shipped. I think you can send them your forks and they'll install them for 150 (check the install cost, I could be wrong)

You brought in just the forks and they charged 2 hours.

Was this for just the cartridge kit install?

If so, a person has to wonder how/why ?

There really is not much inside a set of forks, take a pair apart, and you woill see.
