Zard Penta's are on!

When I purchased this hyper a month or so ago, it had the Zard headers with cored out standard cans.
It sounded good but it was a little 'raspy' at high revs, plus I've always loved the look of the penta cans. So why not complete the system?

Big thanks to Anthony at Desmoworks who hooked me up with a set, and a lot of other goodies

After a bit of head scratching, heaving and grunting, I got them fitted yesterday, and today was my first ride with them on.
Wow, very deep growl all through the rev range.
I think they look and sound shit hot!

The bike already has the race ecu which has been sorted to run with the headers and performance air box so adding the end cans was no big deal.

Next I'll be attacking the bars mirrors and indicators.
I've got all parts to change them out, just gotta find the time to do it...

I installed the Penta's on a friend's Hyper and I think they are the best sounding exhaust around. I have Termi's on my bike and would trade in a minute for the Zard Penta.

I think the Pentas are the best looking exhaust I've seen on the Hyper so far. I got the Termi but only because it was a sweet deal. Never heard the Pentas yet I second the sound clip request.

I don't know how well a sound clip will represent the true sound but...and I know this doesn't make sense....but when you hit the higher revs the bike sounds like an F1 engine. I know, how can an L-twin sound like an F1 engine but it does. The Pentas at idle are not impressive at all but they make up for it once the throttle is opened.

Thanks for the feedback fellaz.

I too think the Penta's suit the lines of the hyper perfectly and they don't stick out anymore than the stock cans, maybe even less.

Weight wise I would say they are slightly lighter than the stock cans, but not by much, I didn't break out the scales but I would say weight savings are minimal.

For me it was all about finishing off what the previous owner had started.
If I had a complete standard bike to work with and a shit load of $$$ I would have gone the Termi 2-1 for the massive weight savings and performance boost.
In saying that the Penta cans sound unbelievable at high revs as NYSport suggests and on decel' they sound magnificent.
They make the cored cans sound like crap in comparison.
I also think they have smoothed out the fueling even more than before. The bike seems a run even better at low revs now.

Straight after this mornings ride I knocked up a little sound file for those who have requested one.
It doesn't really do the system justice, and I'm not going to rev the piss out of my bike at standstill, but this should give you some idea as to the sound.
I actually think they sound as good as any other system at idle, (no offence NYSport).
