YES! it will run much better, in fact it will work better than if you did just the slip-ons. If you ditch the cat, and ran the stock mufflers, with the DP ECU it should be fine and not run overly lean, just DON'T change both! At Laguna Seca Raceway, a few of us were running VS stacks, with the stocks mufflers (for noise) and the bikes ran fine. Aloha Alex
