Blinker Idicator on Dash Not Working

Hello All..

I am having a strange issue. I hooked up new LED blinkers for the rear and using the LED strips that work with the Acerbis Dual Road hand guards for the front. The blinkers work perfect front and rear, even blinking at the correct rate. The only issue is that the indicator on the dash is not blinking when they are on. Just curious if anyone has run into this or what the issue could be. All other lights are working correctly on the dash.

yea i had the same issue i put rizomas on the rear and some small leds in the front and the indicator wouldnt work.so i took my handguard signals and put them inside my tank shrouds near the hole in the side and the indicator on dash once again worked...it must be a draw in power issue the stocks draw more which makes the indicator on dash work is my guess.hopefully someone can shed some mor light on the situation.

If this is the case, and I don't know for sure, then resistors are your answer.

The dash has a setting for the LED blinkers. I think it covers it in your owners manual.

1. with key off press the up toggle button on left hand switch.
2. turn key on.
3. press the up toggle button to switch between selections. once you reach "SEE INDIC" stop pressing buttons!
4. press and hold the down toggle button for 5 sec. to enter the "SEE INDIC" menue.
5.once again press the down toggle button to change from "LAMP" to "LED".
6. press and hold the down toggle button again for 5 seconds to save into "MEM".

7. turn key off, then turn key on and check your LED indicator function.

I love when manuals yell at you

Mine is doing the same thing. I swapped both the front and rear with these little jobbies:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Turn-...QQcmdZViewItem

They have a resistor built in so I've been running in LAMP mode and everything works fine except for the indicator light. Memory is fuzzy now, but I seem to remember the flasher indicator working for a while after the swap and then stopping

i also tried resistors and didnt work must need more than one to make the difference in resistance comparing to stock resistance...i guess?

Thank you MOTO BISTRO...unfortunately I am getting the same results as Jeremy. Went through the steps and got NEN, which I assumed was short for MEM. lol. Indicator light on dash still not working. I will try again tonight to make sure it is on LED and not LAMP.

Thanks again everyone.

I'm getting the same problem! LED signals work great...but dash light doesn't flash? I found this old thread. I'm hoping someone has found a prognosis or fix for this. Anyone???
