Need help!! (ducshop stacks)
I'm almost done with my ducshop install, and was curious what you guys did with the mid sized filter hose... Did you cut it right before the bend and hose clamp? Or did you leave the bend and clamp? Or did you cut the hose all the way down at the engine case and clamp? How much air does this hose bring in? Thanks.

I think i left mine full length and it tucks up under the crossbar of the frame under the tank.

I left it full length as well and mounted the filter under the tank. I would think you want as much volume as possible in the breather to reduce the possibility of blowing oil mist out.

I talked to some people about the install, the consensus was 4" was plenty. When I took the tube off there was no noticeable oil residue in the pipe. I have been to the track and put the engine through some fairly tough miles. Of cousre that doesn't necessarily mean that oil wouldn't start to move up the pipe.
I'll keep a close eye on the setup.

Did full length, as the little aluminium tube was missing in my kit.
I asked Mark from Ducshop about it, and as long as the filter is secure, it doesnt really matter if you cut the tube or not.

Up high will also keep the filter more dry if you ride in the rain. Maybe it doesn't matter much but if you have a choice why not?
