clutch slave
does anyone know if there is a clutch slave from another model of bike that eases the pull of the hyper? I can't see the need to pay over $100 for a blingy billet one. I wouldn't mind a lighter pull without having the reduce the amount of clutch springs.

All the Ducati slaves are the same 26mm. To get a larger diameter you'll have to go aftermarket.

Go with a "blingy" 30mm one, works well & has a nice easy pull, the blingy part is just the iceing. Aloha Alex

and if you don't like the "blingy" part ... just do what alex does ... put duct tape over it
(note: read into the above with ANY reference you wish )

ha ha, I am with alex. I prefer racey to blingy anyday. I'd take high temp wrap over chrome exhaust any day of the week.

STM
STM items are made in Italy. The 30mm clucth slave cylinder reduces clutch lever pull by 30%, utilizes a 3 ring seal design with billet aluminum piston set in a billet aluminum housing, excellent quality and finish and is available in a wide range of colors.
You can get a 30mm clutch slave cylinder in black, not black-chrome.
You will have to pay money for quality parts.

I had an Oberion on my 1098 and plan on ordering another one for my Hyper next week. Just a tad over $100 and worth it. Doesn't come in chrome though, sorry.

Some folks mentioned taking two opposing springs off of the clutch plate. I have not done this, and many argue that you could cause the clutch to slip if you ride aggressive, or have a modified hyper. But it might be worth a shot if you're really against throwing a bunch of money around.

in my original post, I said I was trying to avoid the removal of springs. I was just hoping there was another model that could be a easy cheap upgrade. The pull doesn't bother me that much to risk the clutch slippage.
But, I wonder if removing a few springs would assist downshifts? Maybe I'll experiment.

Doh, sorry, I misread that. Fwiw, I have the oberon slave (which was the cheapest I could find at the time), and combined with the stainless springs, it's about the same as stock.
