New Hyper New Termis New Questions

Ok Fella's let me start off by saying this is my first Ducati and so far I love it. I recently added Terminoni slip ons to my Hyper. Went on a few rides for a total of about 300 miles now. She's still really really fresh. When I'm at about 3500-4500 RPM's I am noticing a puff puff puff sound it sounds like a slight exhaust leak. I have checked and rechecked all exhaust clamps and do not feel a leak at idle of even when the motor is reved. The bike feels fine on power. The sound is more noticeable when under a constant RPM versus accelerating. When you let off the throttle and are decelerating it just about goes away or is not there. I don't know if this is a normal sound for this bike. Maybe the clutch or belts or something. Please advise if anyone has experienced this or let me know what the sound is. Thank you in advance.

I was just in your neck of the woods this weekend. Was in Cambria visiting some friends and got to blast the Hyper around on the coast, Santa Rosa Creek Rd. and Old Creek Rd.

I've had mine for about 6 weeks and I notice the same sound below 4000 rpms. I haven't found anything wrong, either, and between 4 and 8k it isn't present. Unless someone says otherwise (andI hope they don't ) I think it's a normal sound.

Yeah those are some Awesome roads. I ride them all the time. Old Creek is really fun just watch out for the cars crossing the double yellows. Happens to me all the time on that road. You describe the same sound. Hopefully someone hear knows what it is. I don't think it's a problem but it's kind of distracting me right now.

Ducatis are noisy...if your temp is ok and no blue smoke..ignore it

Also maybe you are trying to pull too high a gear? See if it still does t in a lower gear. Might be just desmo chatter

Finally, if all else fails...junk your termis, get the single sided pipe and take ot your baffles and ear plugs...

Job done :-)

PS if it was an exhaust leak you would see black/brown carbon deposits
