She's ALIVE!!
So I got my Hyper with the (Motor of Death II) back this evening, I only got to ride her up and down the alley, since she still had her track clothes on, but first impressions are that the motor is SNAPEEE & SMOOTH, my mechanic said this is one of the smoothest DS 1000 or 1100 motor he's ever felt, and the motor revs ridiculously FAST! When I rode her down the alley she did not "feel" like my bike, she was sooooo smooth, I guess Ben (who did my crank work) at Fox Engineering knows his stuff. I'll post up more feedback after the break-in, Aloha Alex

Toooo much $$$, but I'm in too deep to stop now, I used the same DP performance cams, same big bore Pistal pistons, just rehoned the cylinders, installed new rings, redid the ceramic coatings on the pistons top & combustion chambers, reapplied the hard slick coating (PC9) on the piston skirts, did additional port work, & relapped the valves.
Where the Motor of Death II is different, is the crankshaft, its been lightened, polished, and installed with new lightweight Carillo rods, and rebalanced. The crank bearings are the latest ceramic bearings, supposed to be stronger, lighter, and with zero friction, so hopefully she will be somewhat more reliable. we'll see.....
Aloha Alex

OK Cardi, rode her "hard" on Sun. I got 128mi now, and just changed the break-in oil (petroleum 20w50) to Amsoil 20w50, and cleaned my Purepower stainless steel oil filter.
The motor is "sweet" so smooth its kind of funny to ride, not like the original motor, which "felt" like a manly man motor, now it feels like a stealth jet fighter, sneaky fast, this coming weekend I'll be doing some canyons runs, & post up what I really think, but so far so good, Aloha Alex
