Has your dealer installed the replacement kit for this problem.
I had done and it did it again, but not as bad as I was able to get it out of gear with my foot.
I ended up droping (adjusting)the shifter closer to the groung and it hasnt done it since.

I am a too-timer as well. Once at 700, second at 1700. I now have 5500 and am dreading going near 5700. I now fear every time the odometer nears x700.

What is the replacement kit? I hadn't heard of this issue or the kit to address it. Thanks.

Thanks doon.

Has anyone gotten their dealer to do the fix for free on an out of warranty bike? I've heard DNA will "goodwill" the fix since its minor and really was a factory design flaw in the first place.

yep, my dealer (Munroe) fixed it for free with a retrofit kit. But this was while the bike was under warranty (it expired in april of 2010 and i decided not to renew / extend)
