Sideways license plate (on chain guard)
I remember seeing a picture of a hyper here that the owner had mounted the license plate to the chain guard. It was sideways, and bent with the curve of the chainguard. For some reason, I think it was a hawaii plate. If anybody can find that picture for me, I would be stoked. Thanks.

Click on "images" number under my mangler name and info located in the top left corner of this post. You will find two more pics of it. I've since relocated it under my desmo tail.

that has to be interesting to wire a plate light there. I'm not a LEO, but that's the number one reason they pull people over for.

Also, mounting it under the fender looks strange also. i think anytime you have to bend it or mount it sideways it just wreaks of "illegal". I'm all for having it at an angle barely hanging off the back fender though

I think it looks loads better than the monstrosity that comes from the factory with these things. Let's face it, it's a license plate, and not some kind of fashion statement. If we must have them, we gotta do what we can with them.
I also really like how it has the parking permit below. I've been killing myself trying to figure out where to put my permit without sticking it to my bodywork.

I agree kind sir. Thats why it looks like this now.

however, i left the inspection sticker on the chain guard. And yes, if you cut and mod enough, you can tuck the original tag ligh up in the tail. Mine has that also and it works well.
