OMG not another key question

Ok, so my young, dumb ass lost both of my black keys, but I have my code card. My local dealer is an idiot and doesn't know what to do. Now, I just got my blank keys in with the transponder inside them and I DO have my code card. So do I just take my Hyper to a locksmith and have him make a mold of the ignition and cut my blanks, or what? Thanks guys, and I guess this is why kids shouldn't own Ducatis.

No, it's why you should go to a better dealership. Call the guys at So Cal Ducati, they'll help you out. Ask for TJ (service mngr). 714-256-6700

I did this last year. Make sure u get the right key, correct part number. dont use a 749/999 key!!! if you dont and try to program it, u will trick the system out and make it count down everytime until u get the right key in the ignition. its the same as programming a 749/999 key hold the B btton down and turn the ignition on. u have to enter the code before the count down ends.

The key code card should have the code for the key cut along with the RF security code.
