Carbon Swingarm Cover?

Okay, I have seen pics of Hypers with Carbon Swingarm covers. Well if there is one thing I absolutely hate on the Hyper it is the swingarm. It just look old like it literally came off an 15 year old 916.

Does anyone know where I can get one? I searched ebay with no luck and Yahoo and some show up, but when you go to the vendor's site, it says item not found! Is there a reason no one makes these anymore? I already have the subframe and rearsets at the powder coater and I don't want to have to pull off the swingarm if I can just buy a cover for it.

Thanks in advance.....

I've looked everywhere that I thought would have the cover and it looks like they've removed the listings?

I'd call Anthony over at Desmoworks. Maybe there was an issue or defect involved?

Hummmmm, well if Desmoworks is going to stop carrying that item maybe i should take a mold off mine and start reselling it.

It might be that the yen to the UDS is and has been in the crapper for a while now and it just doesnt make sense to buy much from a Japanese supplier at this time.

Its still on Magicals site at ¥23,100 so i know they still make it. http://www.magicalracing.co.jp/MOTO-...permotard.html

I know what you mean. I found this picture of one but no one carries it.

If you do make one I will buy it from you! I love your work and can't wait for you to setup an online store.

I know what you mean about the look of the swing arm. But I really don't like the carbon covers on swing arms. At least in pictures they look out of place. I know it's a lot of work but your powder coating idea is the one I would go with.

That is great that you got one but it seems that they have since stopped carrying the item. Maybe I should email them and see if they can get me one at a decent price. I really, really don't want to have to pull the swingarm off, sand the finish smooth, then have it powder coated.

I still have a hard time believing Ducati could put such a crappy looking swingarm on the Hyper. Essentially it runs the same drivetrain as the Monster 1100 so why not put that swingarm on the Hyper?

Or better yet give them a call, maybe they are back in stock and they forgot to update their web site or something.

Count me in for one of these and one of your CF under-beaks.

I'm not kidding
