i'm going to ride down to laguna for the track day ...

with the sound regs, i won't be riding the hypertard (too much hassle putting the stock exhaust, ecu, air box, resetting the TPS) ... so will borrow a friend's track bike when i get down there.

Aahhhhh, the sound regs. So, will my '08 Hyper S with the termi 2-1 pass? Maybe not. I'll just take my Honda RC 51...oh wait, it's got a pair of Leo Vince titanium high mounts. Hmm, how about the '06 Honda CBR1000 rr? Nope, it's got an Arata end can. And yet, they are all quieter than your average Harley! Bummer!

Nothing but stock will pass unfortunately. Best track in the US to ride and I've always liked the Track Club's days. Very loose and fun.

On a sound controlled day? Were you short shifting up the hill?

I've been going to Laguna for 15 years, and there is no way an aftermarket exhaust will pass there any more. Some stock bikes won't even pass.

Many of the track day organizers won't even let you on the track with one, because they're facing loss of days now due to violations. And if you are allowed on, you not only have to short shift up the hill, you have to worry about the testers moving around the track now. Given the 1 strike you're out rule now, it's just not worth the risk.
