remove front tyre

This might be a stupid question but befor i remove my front tyre do i need
the, Ducati front axle alignment tool to do the front tyre back up or is there another way to tighten the nut up with out that tool..

the tool helps to make things easier but it's not a necessity

Follow this advice: Wheel Removal & Installation

Everything in that post works. You will not need the tool. The tool just aligns the holes. The best thing to get is a set that contains the alignment tool plus a drift. I bought mine on flea bay from Prototype Engineering (I think) and it works great. I don't believe they have any listed now, but the drift is the most helpful.

OK thanks for that sick50 that helps me out alot now i don't have to wait for it and just go ahead and put my new tyres on.

Fork pinch bolt torque values
8mm steel rod through the bottom of the right fork leg.
