Cold no more

I , rode for about 4hrs today . About 34 degress outside when i started then it warmed up to about 40 . In the blue ridge mts it was a bit cooler , but with my new tourmaster transition 2 jacket. Wow ,if only I tried riding with winter gear sooner. I didn't even get a bit cold. I think I might be riding more often in the winter months.. The only thing hard for me to get use to is the bulk of the jacket . I'm working alot harder to transition myself in corner speed. But I was warm .

One of the best pieces of equipment I have ever bought was a First Gear heated liner with a contoller. Light weight shirt underneath, heated liner and your jacket of choice. Very little bulk. Along with heated grips, I'm good till down in the 20s as long as the roads are clear and dry...which hasn't been very often this winter...

Some, roads where not to bad in the mountains but there still are patches of winter mix on some of the roads. I didn't push my luck to much.Still kind of scary at times never know whats around the next corner on cold winter days in the mountains. Weather sure hasn't been the best here lately.Carolinas sure has had there share on winter mix..But , it was still nice to get out and ride.I havn't even been able to get to the mountains to do some dirt riding .Most, off road parks have been closed do to all the winter mix and rain .

I have the Gerbings liner and gloves, and have been good down to 21 F. Your tires don't have heat so just be carefull of that.
