Because Bling Orta be Gold
I understand color coordinating and I DO think that those who have replaced OEM parts with Red/Black aftermarket parts have really enhanced the look (and performance) of their bikes.
Maybe just to be different i've had Gold/Black Rizoma rearsets and clutch cover.
I'd appreciate all honest opinions.

If you like it who cares?
My personal thought is that Gold works when you have a major component that's also Gold... Shocks etc. But if you're going to add a color, add some spacing.
I think it's better to spread it around a little more and get some spacing... Levers and pedals so there are highlights around the bike instead of lumped in one place. A few bolts etc would be good, but Gold is one of those colors that you have to be carefull with. You can go from tasteful to Mr T pretty quick.

I like the black pressure plate, but the gold bling does nothing for the bike. IMHO

I think i prefer my bling to be gray/black woven and baked in resin.
Anodizing is cool, but too much of it and ive always felt it turns into a eyesore.
To each their own though.

Unfortunately, the pictures just don't do the look justice. It's drawn heaps of praise from those who've seen it in person. In the grand scheme of things only about 5% of the total surface area is gold....the photos zero in on the gold and make it look more plentiful than it really is.
Speaking of photos, why wasn't I able to have them pop up automatically under the message rather than a small attachment thumbnail?

You uploaded the pics from your PC didn't you.
To place them fullsize you need to host them somewhere like Photobucket and link to them using the "mountain" icon in the line of editing tools above where you enter your post's text.
I think black would've been better, but as has been already said if you like it what else matters?

it looks fine but sometimes you have to do alittle experimenting with the gold.ive been back and forth with the gold and back to red again and finally mixed em up.and now im resorting to black with very little red and gold.

i like it. the bike has gold forks and ohlins gear, so i don't think it's out of place at all on this bike. maybe it's an Austin thing....I'm from there originally too.
