Ducshop stack question

My Ducshop Hyper stack kit should arrive soon and I'm planning to use them with pre-filter socks.
I am looking at this webpage to buy them :
http://www.outerwearsracing.com/cate....asp?cat=12582
but I dont really know what to choose.

Anyone out there can tell me which pre-filter to buy for the stack, or give me the Ducshop filtr dimensions ?

Thanks.

Take into account, it's been about a year since I've done this.

I called Outerwears and they did not make a prefilter for the K&N filters that Ducshop used for their stacks. Now at the time, Ducshop used the RC-9160.

I called and spoke to a customer service rep. I gave her the K&N part number and she found the dimensions in their database. It was a $10 custom service fee (for both filters so long as the color stays the same) and $16 per prefilter.

I would call Ducshop and see if they have prefilters and/or make sure they still use the RC-9160.

Good luck.

I have the Ducshop stack kit on order, I'd be interested in what you find out.

Here's what I found about the reference Borracho gave us :

Part RC-9160 Product Specifications
Product Style: Round Tapered Universal Air Filter
Base Outside Diameter: 4.938 in (125 mm)
Flange Inside Diameter: 3.125 in (79 mm)
Flange Length: 0.75 in (19 mm)
Flange Type: Centered
Height: 4.375 in (111 mm)
Top Outside Diameter: 3.5 in (89 mm)
Top Style: Metal
Top Material/Finish: Chrome
Filter Re-Oiling Amount: 0.53 oz (16 ml)

Product Box Length: 7.13 in (181 mm)

I have the Ducshop kit, and asked this same question while waiting for it. There is no direct fit Outerware filter skin. K&N makes foam prefilters, but there is no direct fit either. You can buy the foam to make your own which is what I did, and they fit and work fine. Whats nice is you can just prop the tank up a little and slip them off if they need cleaning, like foam socks. I use the same No-Toil filter oil system I use on my dirt bikes.

Does this added foam layer hurt power? Maybe on the dyno you could see something at full throttle, but on the street the bike runs great and I can't tell any difference. The added filtration and ease of cleaning is worth it.

Mark confirmed me that the K&N filter they use is the RC-9160.

You can either custom order a set from their website or call them to place an order with the K&N reference number.
