Rearset prices wow?
Why are the rearsets for the Hyper so much more than they are for other Ducati bikes. I looked at the Woodcrafts and they are twice the price of those for the 1198/848 bikes, WTF? I would love to get a set for this bike but can never justify $600 + for a set. Someone has to have a reason why these things cost so much more.

High cost is due to the amount of material and machine time needed to make the hyper/multistrada rearsets. Unlike the 1198/848 rearsets that are frame mounted, the hyper footpeg assembly mounts to the frame and engine case. It's a far more complex machining job. That's primarily why they cost more. If you want bearing pivots, that's more money as well.

They might go down in price since the new Hyper 796(I think they are same design?!?) came out, more people to potentially buy rearsets and drive the prices down. just a thought
maybe we can get a group buy going on Sato's! I'd buy those if they were priced about $400 bucks cheaper!

I prefer the look of these:

I kind of like the gold shift lever and there appears to be a greater amount of adjustability with these. Sato are second choice and Woodcrafts seem to be too high.
Love to do the Ducati ones but at $1.2k, its kind of a cruel joke.
