in the spirit of "buy a part make a part"

So, lacking the skill, and mostly the discipline that Brad Reynols possesses, I have come up with "buy 20 parts, make 1 part".

Here, after much inspiration, and consternation is my own homemade version of the tail-tidy for the Hyper. A little metal plate was all that I added, some drilling, and Voila!... that big plastic piece is removed and my hyper is looking badder by the moment. Such a proud father

cool work,

are you concerned on the plate making contact with the tire at all?

I measured almost 5 inches to the tire, so I don't think so... don't think rear has that much travel.

Rear wheel travel as listed in owners manual= 141mm or around 5.5inches. Just max out your pre-load. Hate to be the proverbial "turd in the punchbowl". You may not use all that travel all the time but....

Just alter the mounting angle outward at the bottom to get the necessary clearance...
Some angled aluminum spacers on the mounting bolts behind the plate will do this (straight
cylindrical spacers ground to an angle).

Yeah I taco'd the plate a few times when I "thought" I had adequate clearance.

I can still hear my friends laughing about the bent metal and tire marks all over my brand new vanity plate.
