Another new tire option

Michelin released a new tire. It's called the Power Pure.I love my Pilot Power 2CT's, so these may be a step up. They claim they are lighter (by a couple of pounds for the pair)than most tires too.Anyone tried them yet???

lighter means they prob dont last very long, which is already an issue for me buying tires once a month or more

They're not available just yet in the U.S., but probably sometime later this week. They're light, but not exactly featherweight. They weigh about the same as a Pirelli Corsa 3, and about a pound less than a Dunlop Q2. They're basically a 2CT with a wider strip of soft compound on the edges and a narrower strip of medium down the center. So they probably won't last any longer than a 2CT, but should have better traction at moderate lean angles.

Michelin has dropped their prices across the board, so the Pure will come in right around the old price for the 2CT's, while you can now get 2CT's for quite a bit less than before.

How good are they? I've said it before, a tire's a tire. If you like Michelins, you'll like these...

Thanks for the info Scott. Apparently BikeBandit here in CA has them but their info and specs were pretty vague.
