fuel tank re-fit resulting in fuel leak

Hi.

After disassembling the fuel tank to install the air filter cover that came with the Termi exhaust I noticed that I have a fuel leak from the small left screw on the rear top area of the fuel tank (screw holding wire, see picture attached). I guess I should not have unscrewed the screws holding the wires but just open the metal strip. I alo probably over tighten the screw and now there is fuel coming out of it. Sh.t happens!!
I wouldn't like to replace the tank just for this also the screw is on top of the tank so i hope that I can glue something on top of the screw itself to stop the leak. Does anybody have a suggestion?

Thanks once more for the great help from the users of this forum.

Claudio

warranty

I'll try to speak to the shop where I bought the bike new in 2007. I guess the warranty is not valid any more anyway, and I guess I will be told I used too much torque instead of the 2Nm prescribed, but also what kind of fuel tank design is this, that this sort of things can happen ?
Anaway, I will also try with some epoxy (need to find one reistant to gasoline) and see if this works...

BLAST!
