HyperPop-up: Custom fuel cap for my Hyper
I finally go time to finish the custom gas cap for my HyperMotard. The stock locking "Briggs & Stratton" looking fuel cap was second on my list to remove form the bike (after the duck bill of course).
I sent with a "Tolle" pop-up fuel cap, similar to the one I have on my Monster. I had to modify the Ducati OEM filler ring and lathe up a aluminum beauty ring to fill out the space to look correct.
The finished product is a very low cut flat cap I think fits the bikes street fight look. It works great too.
Let me know what you think.
I know the polished pop-up fuel cap isn't that original, but I like the design. I made the on my Monster off the "Myrtle West Cycle" design I say at the "LA Calendar Bike Show". They only made them for Jap bikes, so I didn't think they wouldn't mind...

I really like the look. Was it a straight swap?

The finish installing of the finished cap is really easy. I just replaced the OEM filler ring with the modified one and bolted everything together.

nice install, I wish there were a few aftermarket gas cap options for the Hyper... I have had keyless caps on all of my recent bikes and think it is a better setup.

Great looking project in general. Also, I love your whole photo spread. Good job bro!
