CF Hugger for Christmas

Just wanted to let you guys know about a pretty sweet deal if you are still looking for a hugger for the Hyper. I saw a nice piece on EBAY for $139+$10s/h and thought I'd take a chance. This item was shipped to me in 2 days - right before Christmas and was packaged very well. The hugger fit great with the provided stainless fasteners and all the holes aligned perfectly. For $149 all in - I couldn't be happier.

Sold by Gusty Performance out of Cali -- it looks like these guys are giving a serious discount on eBay vs their website price. The photo on their website is 100% accurate. Cheers guys and Merry Christmas.

I was thinking about one of those ones on Ebay out of Hong Kong for a similar price but didn't want to buy it without seeing it on a bike.

The one you bought looks ok on the bike in the the picture at Gutsy performance and you reckon it looks good in real life?

There are a lot of different looks for these huggers and I do like the look of this on on my bike -- I didn't take a photo because they already have on on the Gutsy site. Given this is the first carbon fiber bit for my Hyper, I was impressed with the weight [lack thereof], the fitment [all holes lined up perfectly, notch for the chain runner and the overall smoothness / consistency of the fiber.

I wish all carbon bits were $130.

Mine just arrived! Very quick delivery and the quality looks really nice. How long do you reckon it takes to put on? The kind of thing I could do before taking off for work?

I wonder if this thread still "has real value re Hypermotards" or if its "value has diminished over time."

I slept in and haven't left for work so your post has value.

Hey you didn't mention that it would take longer to remove the rocks and crap from around the spring and linkage than it would to fit the hugger!

Yes it is a sweet deal thanks for putting me onto it and here is what it looks like fitted to the bike if anyone is interested.

Looks good mate -- wish we had summer now -- haven't seen the sun in weeks.

Nice foot there in the shot.

I didn't have to clean out the rocks / junk because the bike was just in for service / oil change. It was the dealer who told me that I should get a hugger because there was crap in there -- i guess they weren't amused to clean it out.
