help removing rearsets

I was planning on removing my rearsets to paint them black. Will I have to rebleed the brakes lines or anything else?

Thanks

no bleeding is required, the rear brake master cylinder will not be opened during disassembly.
I'd recommend powder coating the rearsets rather than painting them, they will look much nicer and will last. Painting will not hold up to rock chips and might need to be repainted later to keep things looking clean.

I am sure you can get them powdered at a decent price

Good prep is the key(of course). We sanded my rear sets with a 100 grit and I wish we used something rougher. The powder coat is flaking off ever so slightly after 6 months.

Wow you powder coated everything. Looks really cool. I was only going to do my rearsets, but very tempted to do it all now. Can you please post some pictures of you bike. I would love to see it. Thanks for the help

Thats a bt 021 rear-sport/touring tire

front is the bt o16. both bridgestone

Best value, good quality high mileage IMHO

I thought it was a great set up. Good for about 5000 miles of mild to medium paced weekend canyon carving with just as many freeway miles in between. Lets not forget the 300 wheelies that may have been torqued up as well.

I had the 016 rear last time but it was cooked in 3200 miles.
