Fitting leo vince Kat eliminator - Ducati.ms

I know ive should be in archives but about to fit the leo vince Kat eliminator

Any tricks l need to know on a smooth installation ?

I'm running termi cans and DP ECU , and DP lid, BMC cleaner as well
do i need to touch anything with tuning and what have you done ?

Did any one use silicon sealer on the new pipe fittings ?

as always thanks in advance and have a safe riding christmas

Just use hi-temp RTV on the slip joints, and position the clamps so that the slots in the tubing do not line up with the gap in the clamp. The LV stuff is excellent quality and fits very well.

pretty straight forward install... just loosen the front pipes up and slip everything together then put some tension on all the clamps, double check the fit and then tighten all the pipe clamps. I didn't use any sealant, the pipes fit very nicely together and really isn't needed.

I think you got to do some settings costs under $50 at the dealer to tweek it .
I used some Copper high temp sealant at the cans to ensure you don't get the pesky black carbon drippings,
Are you getting rid of the flapper too?
I had a little trouble making sure the cans set forward enough to properly fit in the rubber mounts ...I used a ratchet strap around the frame and pulled the riser pipe (before the cans) forward , To set the pins on the cans , into the rubber grommets . It took a good pull , tightened all clamps released the ratchet strap,then clean the pipes with alchol to remove all the oils so it does not stain the new pipes...

So there are some dealer adjustments
to stop the termis leaking in the past i used the gold RTV with success

the worst joint is the 2 cans under the seat leaked like a siv

Did you still ride the bike after fitment?
are the adjustments in the tweak , to avoid damage

for dealer adjustments ... when you installed the DP ECU, did the dealer adjust the TPS (throttle position sensor)? if not, this is a 5 minute operation ... they remove the right side tank cover, hook up the DDT to the diagnostic port connector, turn the ignition switch to "on", reset the TPS, re-install the tank cover.

Just found a great after market dyno tuner in Cairns. Australia

He did a dyno on the hypo, running pretty average from my ex dealership
I will be able to give you are before and after dyno sheet fitment of the leo vince kat eliminator

Honestly i dont care about HP as long as i get a deeper note and reduced temperature on the engine .

He assures me i can ride it fitted it will remain in its parameters until he can tune it .

i must admit the bike after his tune is running better than new and mid range is as smooth as silk

will up date with dyno sheets
