Power Commanders? They typically sell for $279 on the 'Net. Auto Tune module
with wideband O2 sensor is an extra $195. Did they also do a dyno tune after
the install? That would add about $150-200.

If all they did was install a Power Commander with no 'Auto Tune' module and/or no
dyno tune, then $681 seems high. If you are meticulous with the wire harness
routing, it might take two hours to install one of these... the hardest part for
me was just un-clipping the stoopid connector lock wire on the Ducati factory
fuel injector electrical cable (in a cramped space).

It has not been installed, this was the total it would be for complete installation. I am not sure if I would get a before and after dyno, if not then is 681.00 a rip, average, or good ?

PS From my discussion with them the bike after install would be put on the dyno to be adjusted and mapped.

OK, PC III: $300 (w/tax)
2 hrs. labor: $160
Dyno tune with custom map: $200
Total is $660. So your estimate is not unreasonable. It's a recession; talk
'em down to $650. Honestly, if they spend a lot of time working on the
fuel map to optimize the dyno performance, the price could vary a lot. It's
usually good to get a positive recommendation from another rider in regards to
dyno shops (do they take one or two runs and call it done or more involved?).
