Setting the rear suspension for two up riding
Hi all, can anyone on the forum help me with how to set the rear suspension to accomodate a pillion?
I'm 175cm tall and 115kg's.
My girlfriend is 70kg's and she's hangin out to get on the hyper with me, she loves it!
Any help appriciated.

You guys are alot of help  HYP08 If the suspension is set up for you weight, then just add some preload to the shock. and increase the rebound dampning to match. If she want's to ride with you all the time. I would go up 2 rates on the rear shock, and 1 on the fork. and adjust the rebound to match. HTH.. Cheers Mate

hey there Hyp 08, where abouts in syd are you mate, I am yet to play with the suspension on my hyp but i am like you and the missus is on the back any chance she can get, the bike seems to feel pretty good on stock standard settings two up. I am 80kgs and the missus is 62kgs.

that would be about 3 up on the forks as they are WAY too soft anyway. stock std spring is good for a ~70kg rider only.

I am 74 kg and my wife is 52 kg and the Tardis is sprung fairly ok for us but I wouldn't want it much softer, I have 28 mm from my top adjuster nut to the end of the thread on the shock as a comparative measure.
I think with your weight you may want to go to a 10kN spring (factory is 9) or possibly more especially if you have any luggage as well.
Try adjusting it first but be prepared to put some money up to make it work properly, if you go too high in the spring strength you will also be up for revalving as you will fall outside of the good working parameters.
