2 up on a Hyper
Thinking about taking a friend out for a ride. She loves bikes but is more accustomed to a couch on the back of a Goldwing or H-D. How is the Hyper for 2 up? I am pretty heavy 225 lbs, 6'4". Not sure what the load carrying capacity is. Keeping the front wheel on the ground could be an issue. I told her the bike was more like a 100 hp vibrator than a silky smooth cruiser. That seemed to piqued her interest. Since I have been having a vibration issue on the bike, I figured I would put it to good use.
Anyone?

I take my wife happily for trips on the large KTM 990 Adventure travelling dirt roads etc. however, she hates the rear of the Hyper. I am resigned to the fact it is not a comfortable pillion mount and have removed the passenger pegs.

Manual sez 390 Kg total weight (including the bike). That's 860 pounds.
If the Hyper is 425 w/fuel and you weigh 225 lbs, that's 650, leaving you
with 210 for a passenger and whatever else (?).
I have a friend that rides with the wife and a dog on the tank (it's only a small
Pomeranian mix). So unless your girlfriend is pretty substantial, you still have
room for Fido...

My wife likes it back there, more than on any of my other/previous bikes.
I weight 165, she's 110, Ducati race seat.

Never done it
I looked at the seat, pegs, GF's butt and removed the passenger pegs before it had 50 miles on it. I didn't think anyone even considered this a 2-up bike.

I guess it's all perspective, this is the best two up bike I have ever owned. It has a wide rear seat and the passenger is not too high above you in the back as to make it awkward.
The bike does tend to wheelie with someone over 140 so keep em small , small is better anyways, right. Who wants a fat chick

I'm same height and a lot heavier - never had a problem 2-up. Wife prefers the HD Ultra but will do short(ish) rides on the Hyper no problem at all.

I'll give it a try. Should be fun. Hopefully she will want to cut ride short for the right reasons.
