Painted Rear Side Panels

I'm thinking about mounting the rear DP rack on my red Hyper which means the red grab-rail cover is about to go. The bike needs some 'red' bodywork back there to make up for the loss so I'm thinking of painting the rear side panels in red. I'm wondering if anybody here has done this or if someone has a pic of a Hyper with the rear panels painted red.

Also if anyone has a set of standard rear plastic panels left after switching theirs to CF ones, I'll gladly buy them for my little experiment and post pics of the result

Thanks, that looks extremely nice and so does the painted tank cover (my handgards will be gone when I'm done). I have the 2 in 2 Termi so I have the bigger panels but your bike gives me a very good idea of how this is going to end up looking, ie AWESOME!

How much did Ducati charge you for the Hyper stickers on the rear panels if you don't mind me asking?

Wow, I went online to check the price and they're only $5.99!
I am honestly shocked by how cheap they actually are

Thanks for the great info. Now I just need to find a set of used plastic covers to paint...
