pressure plate help!!!

I just got my new pressure plate today with the cover. I put it on my bike and now the clutch will not engage. I press on the clutch lever and it will not go down. There is a long thin rod that holds the pressure plate I think i might not put that in all the way. Any suggestion willl be really appriated. thanks!!

Well, you either put the push rod in or you didn't, you can't put it in halfway. Did you line up the arrow on the plate with the line on the clutch spring post on the basket?

It's my thread, but I'm not trying to push it as gospel, it just might help.

thank you GMP and rob998, the info was very helpfull. the problem was that the I didn't align the gears well from the pressure plate and the clutch. I got it know it is good to go. I love the sound of the open clutch

Glad to hear it's sorted mate. I like it best when the uninitiated tell you that there's something very, very wrong with your bike
