Thinking about a Hyper anyone Ride a Sport Classic to comapre them?

Hey all,

I currently own a GT1000 which i like very much but wish I had something a bit more aggressive or edgy of that makes sense.

What i like about the Hyper:
1. Aggressive looking
2. Sportier ride (more so than my GT)
3. Track - able (more so than my GT)
4. Single Sided Swing arm as all Ducati's should have come
5. Upright seating

Reason I ask if anyone has ridden a sport classic is because I wanted to know if the Hyper had anymore or less wind protection than the SC's? Now I know they are both naked, but the hyper is more upright and I was concerned if I would get blown around to much on the highway?

Thanks

I have ridden the sc and the hyper extensively
I will say that at speeds of 70mph and more you get the crap beat out of you on the Hyper. That being said it is an amazingly fun bike.

I would get a VFR if I were you. Once you get up to 114 on the motorway it all goes quite smooth on the hyper.

Just get a small windshield for it, there are several brands that look very well integrated. In fact, after you have one on it feels kinda weird w/out it...makes a big difference.

I owned a 2006 Sport 1000 and was looking for a change. I thought I liked everything about the Hyper until I hopped on one and took it for a spin. Now the hyper was a sweet bike and it rode entirely different than any motorcycle that I have ever ridden- (all sportbikes). Having said that, the ride was not exactly what I was looking for. It felt like I was practically standing up on the bike (I am 6'1") while riding it and the way the seat was formed. I didn't appreciate the forward and rear sliding on the seat as much as I expected to, or maybe it was how firm the seat was. I did like the power very much. Having said that I am positive that given more time in the saddle of the hyper, I could have grown more accustomed to it. The ergos on the Hyper and the Monster weren't right for me so I ended up going quite unexpectedly with a Tuono. It suited my needs the best at the time. I do miss my Duc and am sure I will own one again in the future.

You will have to decide for yourself. Most dealers will do anything for a sale right now. Your best bet is to ride it and decide. Going from a sport 1000 I was dead set on a hyper until the day I rode it. All due respect to the Hyper guys. Those bikes are wicked to look at.
