Termi with ECU....

is it normal??? new 2-2 Termi slip-on with ECU and air box cover installed

got a 20-25 % increase in fuel consumption ??

light is on at like.... 87 miles....

when i start my Hyper, it use to say HYM 1100....now it says HYM racing...i guess it runs much more richer in fuel....well i didn't think it would run with a 20% increase

but it sounds so nice........wowwwwwww

what did it get stock? did you get it dyno tuned with power commander the dp ecu cant be fully tuned in full range without it.mine stock used to go 110 miles before light came on.now its about a 100 after i did cams ecu with cams, duc shop pods,100mm pistons, power commander, full zard exhaust, porting and polishing.

Unfortunately, that is the drawback of the DP race ECUs... poor fuel mileage.
At part throttle, the stock ECU closed-loop operation is very lean and stingy
with fuel-- to a fault, really. The DP ECU dispenses with the closed-loop mode
of operation entirely (no longer uses feedback from an oxygen sensor in the
exhaust to correct air/fuel ratio). This helps the bike run cooler, reduces
surging and popping due to lean conditions, and also can help fix the tendency
to stall while approaching a stop or idling when the engine is hot. All good
things, but it comes at the expense of wasting some fuel out the tailpipe
and/or running overly rich at some RPMs and throttle openings.

You may be able to get back some of the lost mileage by using an add-on
device such as the Power Commander, and having the bike dyno-tuned to
produce a fuel map specifically for your bike (rather than some generic
fuel map pre-loaded in the ECU).

I also installed the Termi 2-2 slip-on, with ECU and the air box cover.
I installed it myself, and notice a huge increase in fuel consumption.

The light went on at 74 miles

Went to the Montreal Ducati dealer, they reset the TPS and checked the CO and everything went back to normal.
I went for some big rides around Quebec after my visit at the dealer, and was able to hit 100mile before the light came on.

Hope this help, but a visit to your dealer might be a 1st good step before investing into a PC.

Good advice. Get the fuel trim/CO dialed in before you fool around with a PC.
