I researched seat shaving. Found this link.

Took off OEM seat which pushed me too far forward and felt like a board. Followed link instructions. Took 1+ 1/2 hours total. Stock seat is now perfect. I'm 6'1" and 200 lbs, frequently carry my wife 2up.
Note
1. Leave "front" of seat vinyl stapled to plastic seat.
2. Even though there is little adhesive around rear screw hole and front of seat, go very slow when seperating foam from seat.
2a. Once foam is removed and upside down you will clearly see the small area that needs to be removed, use my photo as a template.
3. Take your time cutting out foam, it goes by quickly. Don't cut too deep. I made grids so if i had to replace it it would fit perfect. Foam is very forgiving.
3a. Remember you're removing foam from the underside of the seat, where it attaches to the plastic.
4. I only took max 3/4" depth worth of foam from middle, then tapered sides as in my two photos.
5. I used new staples and had to force each one in the hard plastic with pliers, and it still went quick.
6. Don't use too much spray adhesive when putting foam back on plastic seat.

The finished seat looks stock and untouched however when I sit on it both cheeks sink in the void that was made by removing the foam. It feels like air cushioning. I can't imagine a more comfortable, practical, affordable mod. Difficulty level 2 of 4.
