Oil change intervals
I read on the Owner's Manual that Ducati recommends oil change every 7,500 miles.
It seems like a lot of miles.
How often do you guys change it?
Francesco

I did mine at 3000 (I only have 4600) I don't know why they say 7500 but it can't hurt to change it sooner I would think.

Tom, when you did your second oil change at 7.500, how was the level in the window? To the max or to the min?
Thanks,
Francesco

No engine ever failed because the oil was changed too often.
I change mine every 3000 mi. (4800 km.)

I wasn't implying I knew better than the factory but most people are going to ignore that and change it sooner, no?

ciao minchia francesco ... to correct the problems you might have induced by not changing your hypertard's oil sooner, you should use extra extra virgin olive oil when you change the oil next time.
