While swapping out the warrantied factory airbox one of the mounting posts on the bottom of the airbox broke (second aiirbox issue on a 200 mile bike), anyway the part is backordered until late oct. and I really really can't wait that long.
If there is anyone out there with an airbox laying around, I would love to purchase this part from you. Please save this guy from the pain of watching a new bike sit around for another 6 weeks.

I'm located in Utah.
I was really hoping that someone installed beast kit and either no longer had use for the parts and outright sell them to me, or someone installed a beast and was saving it to bring the bike back to stock would "lend" me one until they were off backorder. I would be paying for the part and shipping and then send the new one to you when it showed up at my dealer.
a shot in the dark, but as the title states I'm in quite a situation.

I'm not sure I understand. This is the second time in 200 mi.? You don't have to, but can you elaborate? Can't you just run it minus one bolt?

The first issue was stripped airbox nuts from the factory, the dealer warrantied that issue and while they were swapping hardware they broke the mounting post (that is the back ordered part)
Ive already waited 6 weeks for the new airbox and now it looks as if im going to have to wait another.
After dealing with this piss poor assembly and the only parts supply system worse than aprilia I;m about done with ducati. And thats only 200 miles of ownership, I got a fairly good deal on it so I may just try to get out from under it and go back to KTM

Don't blame Ducati for supply issues just yet. The whole country goes on vacation in August ... NOTHING gets done until September when everyone heads back to work.
The biggest problem is the airbox. Just install the Beast R or Ducshop stacks and be done with that mess. The airbox design in and of itself is a piece of shit.

I've had my doubts about their build quality as well. I've experienced similar issues. Makes ya' wonder.
