stuck in first gear !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
stuck in first gear @ 5600 kms and the gear box is %$^#c making some wild noises
won't change in to any gear !
WTF !
crawed to the dealers , will get back will get back to you out come.
thank f**k i didn't do a long ride between 2 cities imagine first gear for 300 miles
am I alone on this problem ?

Under warrantee I hope
I'm at the same mileage, just done the oil, rode last night and had a peculiar couple of gear changes , thought it was just me , I hope so.
Then things went as normal, You got me thinkin.

There were a couple of similar reports in the ST forum re ST3 models stuck in a gear and IIRC, it was an adjustment to the positioning of the shift pawl or shift cam or some such thing, ie nothing too serious. Hope it's the same for you.

Do a search, there are a couple more. Should be warranty. Good luck. Shift Lever Stuck

yeah, known problem. I went through it too. Dealer took care of it for me. Good luck and hope you're not out long.

But to paraphrase, a misaligned part allows the gear lever to move farther than it should causing a return spring to come into contact with the gears which eventually causes it to break...or something to that effect.
