G2 Throttle Tamer?

Hi,

The throttle seems a bit abrupt or jerky to me, and so I am considering putting on a G2 Throttle Tamer. I used a G2 on my KTM 690 SM, and it worked great, but I am wondering if any of you have tried it on the Hyper, and if so, what did you think?!

Thanks.

I'll be interested as well, around town the jerky throttle is bothersome....

I haven't used the G2 but I did install a Kyle Racing aluminum throttle tube last year. It wasn't cheap but it did tape that jerky throttle.

I had a great improvement in throttle response by removing the exhaust valve cables and taking the slack out of the throttle cables. If you simply remove the exhaust valve cables the ecu will throw up an error code, but it does not cause any problems and you can make a stop to keep the servo from over rotating. The exhaust valve is spring loaded so it opens up when the cables are removed. Plus these are free fixes if they work for you.

I've been using G2s for years on my off road race bikes, and on my Hyper for a year now. When I got it the guys at G2 weren't sure if or which one would work. Turns out the throttle is the same as a common Domino used on many other bikes, including a KTM Superduke, which is the one I got. It comes with a #400 cam, which is conservative and smooths the response out nice for average street riding, and is really good in the rain. Makes it a little harder to wheelie which is probably a good thing for me. You can get #300, #200, #100 (stock profile) cams for $20 each to tailor response as desired, unlike the Kyle one piece throttle. The tube has delrin bushings and is super smooth. Its a great mod, especially for a stock bike with the lean jerky throttle response.

Thanks for all the great input
Since I had good luck with the G2 in the past, I'll go ahead and get one for the Hyper!
