Question Gutsy Performance V. Shift Tech Rear Hugger?

Hi-

I see that the Shift-Tech Rear Hugger gets rave reviews from folks here on the forum, but, does anyone have the Gutsy Performance? I am wondering if there is any difference in functionality between the two.... (the edge shape of the shift tech shape is blunted while the gutsy is pointed

Thanks for your thoughts and advise!

It looks to me like apples and oranges. Or which ever one you like better. I for one can say that I have the Shift Tech and I love it. I called ST and talked to the owner who is a member here. I was very happy with the product and got a few compliments already about the ST huger.

I would get the CF one

Get what YOU like, personally I think Shiftechs is nicer to look at but again that is only my opinion, taking into account I was wrong once back in 1986.

The Gutsy looks awfully close to the rear tire, it could be the angle of the camera, but if not I would worry about rocks getting trapped and damaging it. I like dealing with Shift Tech and don't forget the 10% discount.

Same stuff, better prices. Register for an account and you get a discount. Shipping is super cheap and from EU to CA took about 4 days.

You won't go wrong with that, I have the DP hugga and it is useless and would gladly swap anyone with a Shiftech.

That "Gutsy Performance" hugger appears identical to the Carbon world
huggers on Ebay for $180 (+ $15 shipping). I've heard good things about
Carbonworld and they are one of the least expensive CF huggers (Shift Tech
is $250 with free shipping and give a 10% discount, so $225). I have the
DP hugger and it's over-priced at $300+. Still, among those first two I would
buy the one that you like the best appearance-wise.

There is also a nice high-end CF hugger from Magical Racing of Japan,
distributed by some Ducati shops and online Duc shops in the states. It's
priced about like the DP one at $300. Desmoworks has these...

If you like the Gutsy one at $229 I would get it from Carbonworld and save
some cash.

That "magical" hugger is sure sweet looking. Pricey though!
