Reset ECU with LV cat eliminator?

I just installed it. Fitment was easy. Quality great. New, throatier sound a treat. Idle seems a little uneven. Have yet to take it on the road.

I vaguely remember reading somewhere about disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes to reset the ECU.
Is that needed when everything else is stock? Please don't ask me to search - I'm too tired and lazy to read through every post on the subject tonight.
