test ride

I just got back from my first test ride on a HM. I rode it right after I rode a Streetfighter.

All I can say is I am impressed with how smooth it is and how well it handles. Riding position is somewhat similar to the Multistrada so the transition was easy.

I can see owning one of these.

happy to hear that you enjoyed it, i like it second best to my Multi, and the looks almost as much as my 999r. well, that may be pushing it.

ps: love the time stamp on your message..."toothpicks"....

What did you think about in comparison to the street fighter? I haven't ridden one but I'd expect it would be waaay too much motor for me.

The Streetfighter has a lot of power. Unfortunately, I did not get to wring it out. I did manage to blip the throttle and doing a wheelie won't take much.

the aggressive riding posture is what kills it for me. I'm too old and to big to ride that on the streets. Out on the freeway, it should be fine.

The Hypermotard excells on the street as far as I don't have to experience neck pain from looking up at traffic lights. I may have to go and try the HM on the freeway to see what the wind effect is going to be like.

I rode a Streetfighter back in June. I loved the power but my big right foot didn't have enough room to move around with that giant exhaust in the way. It made me appreciate my almost 2 year old Hypermotard even more.

It is not just you...seems to be a common issue for this bike, voiced by large and small feet alike!
Perhaps an aftermarket exhaust shield will be manufactured to aid this cause...or Ducati will fix it next go 'round.
