Leather pants?
How many of you run leather pants when street riding? Just curious...

ALWAYS...I have a track suit and then I have a two piece suit for the streets which still has the same amount of knee and body armour as the track suit. I'm all about safety, I don't like pain anymore.... I also wear armour shorts that have thigh, hip and tail bone armour under my leather pants....
Always dress for the crash, not for the look... this shit happens in the blink of an eye... this is in the dirt but the plastic buckle busted on my ride pants, and the sliding dragged my pants and armour shorts off!! On concrete it would have been much worse. Get the best gear first then bling.

I wish I could, but if I did, it would take at least 4 or 5 cows to cover my fat ass. I can't find anyone that makes my size anyway. I ALWAYS wear good protective gear (helmet, jacket, boots, and gloves) and I wear jeans for pants. Everything else is covered. Not with leather though, all textile.

Jeans just didn't work for me at all on a simple 20 mph lowside with my
Supermoto bike. Think about it- a 1/32" piece of cotton between you and
the asphalt. Not too protective. The Kevlar reinforced riding jeans are a
little better, which is the minimum I'd wear.
For any serious ride I'm in either the Shift Havoc leather pants or my
Alpinestars Track Pants. Road rash is no fun and lasts a long time...

I use kevlar jeans for normal street riding. Looking for a one piece leather to use when I go to the track.

I wear Vanson Supermoto pants most of the time. They're leather on most of the impact zones and nylon on the tops of the thighs. They breathe a little bit more than leather. Once in a while I'll wear my one piece Alpinestars but never jeans. I crashed at about 30 MPH in jeans back in 1994. May as well have been wearing nothing.
