Rearset plate spacer question

I took my rearsets off to get powdercoated. Tried to keep everything lined up for reinstall, but there is one spacer I need info on. It's the thick alum one that goes between the case and plate on one of the bottom mounting bolts. I was pretty sure that it went on the shifter side, but after looking at an online microfiche at omaha ducati, it seems like it goes on the brake side, rear bolt. Is this correct?

Shifter side, It's there to compensate for the side stand bracket.

That's kinda what I thought, but it didn't look that way on the microfiche, so I wanted to make sure. Thanks for the verification!
