looking to get a Hypermotard What can I expect in maintenance cost per year

<$200 for the 600 mile, do it yourself oil change ($60?) at 2.5k, and no other scheduled maintenance until 6k-7k me thinks.

FWIW, in my opinion, the only thing the bike needs prior to the 7500 mile valve check is the oil changed (600/2500/5000/7500/etc). There's nothing done during the first service beyond an oil change that you can't do yourself (it's all checks of a few components... if you've got eyes and a few tools it'll take 15 minutes).
